Description: Main drain in apt. building backed up into laundry room (the size of a one bedroom apt). The main drain (3 apt buildings flow into this drain) backed up and discharged sewage into the laundry room. The apt. complex repaired the line and disinfected the area.

Description: Improperly maintained concrete washout in Carmel, IN found by Vector Control Intern / Ball State student Brett Davis. Breeding high numbers of Culex restuans and Culex pipiens mosquitoes. These species are responsible for amplification and transmission of West Nile Virus in Indiana. The mixture of hay and water in the black plastic–lined reservoir made this “Indiana’s largest CDC Gravid Trap.”
